Your relaxed hotel in Pinzgau
Everyone has their own idea of the perfect holiday. But there is one thing that everyone agrees on: it should be comfortable! We agree. The world is already hectic enough. One child gets sick, another suddenly finishes school early, and at work the overtime piles up. There is only one thing that helps: slow down. Let things go. Drink a nice glass of wine and play Ludo. We are that little oasis that you long for. Where can you find us? In a fantastic location between Kitzbühel and the Hohe Tauern in Hollersbach in Pinzgau. Nobody knows about it? Exactly, that's the genius thing!!
From early morning to evening, your all-inclusive pampering package has a lot to offer. Lots to eat, of course, soft drinks, beer and selected wines.
Have you ever discovered comfort in a hotel with 100 or 200 rooms? Exactly. It doesn't fit. With only 45 rooms, we get to know you quickly, you feel cared for and safe.
As Thomas always says so aptly: A church, a bakery, a small shop, a hotel, that's Hollersbach. And that's what makes it so charming: Hollersbach is a real, lively village with 1,200 residents - and not a ghost town that is overrun by crowds in high season and then falls back into a deep sleep.
You decide what your retreat should be like. Big and modern or retro? We have two different living worlds and therefore two different price ranges. If you don't mind bright orange or grass frog green tiles in the bathroom, you're not just going on holiday, you're also going on a journey through time ;)
In both summer and winter, you automatically receive the National Park Card with many free services and discounts. For example, you can use the cable car or whizz along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road free of charge.
Don't stress, you don't need to plan your vacation days in advance. When you're here, we'll show you what you can do. In summer, you can hike and bike in the gentler Kitzbühel grass mountains or from your hotel in the more challenging Hohe Tauern and take part in guided tours. In winter, there are 3 to 5 guided hikes per week. In winter, you enter the KitzSki ski area at the quiet southern end and can quickly reach many other ski areas.
Eva-Maria and Thomas Steinhauser
Who runs Hollersbach's only four-star hotel, the Dorfhotel Kaltenhauser? A native of Hollersbach, of course! Eva-Maria grew up in the business. After she met Thomas at hotel management school, the two tried out international careers. Among other things, they lived in New York for several years. In 2005, it was time for a new adventure: home was calling. "I'm so happy that everything worked out," says Eva-Maria. "I love making things nice for the guests. In the past, in New York, and now in my parents' house."
Your children can choose from the children's menu or simply take a small "large portion". For dessert we open the ice cream freezer. During the day there are snacks, cakes and thirst quenchers available for self-service at any time.
All children love to jump into the water after skiing and other mountain adventures. That's why we have family pool time every day in our indoor pool! In summer, the natural bathing lake is 400 m away.
Your kids can let off steam in our garden with a small children's playground and on our village rally. In the board games room you will find card and board games, which you can also take with you to your room.
Don't worry, we'll take care of you, even if the sun doesn't shine. We have ready-made suggestions for things to do for you. Come to reception and then get out there!
When you spend your holiday with us, the Hohe Tauern National Park opens up before your eyes. Hike through rustic valleys or climb up the rugged cliffs. You can visit the National Park Worlds in Mittersill for free thanks to the SummerCard.
Kitzbühel Alps & Krimml Waterfalls
On the north side, the Kitzbühel Alps with their gentle grassy mountains await you. Here you will experience pure mountain idyll. It is not far to the famous Krimml Waterfalls, you can get there by bus for free.
Walk from the hotel to the valley station and be taken to 1,892 m. Once you get to the top, the name makes perfect sense: the Kitzbühel Alps stretch out before you, up to the Wilder Kaiser, as well as the rugged 3,000-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern.
