When entering Austria, a 2-G-plus proof obligation applies from all states, which means you must be vaccinated or recovered and PCR-tested. A booster vaccination (third partial vaccination) exempts from the PCR test. Children from the age of 12 until the age of 15, are allowed to enter the country with the Holiday Ninja Passport or similar proof of testing. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from this rule. For the rules of departure or return to your country, please contact us directly. Since 26.12.2021, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark have been declared "virus variant areas". Only triple vaccinated persons with PCR test will then be allowed to enter Austria from these countries without quarantine. As of 16.01.2022, Austria is again considered a high-risk area for Germany. Visitors entering and returning from a high-risk area must register in advance via and upload their valid 3-G proof via this portal. Vaccinated and recovered guests from Germany can continue to spend their vacations in Austria without having to enter quarantine upon their return. Tested persons, on the other hand, must enter a mandatory 10-day quarantine - this can be terminated after the fifth day by "free testing".
